For the person who has everything, Bentley and Mulliner suggest a little more
Bentley’s Mulliner division has come up with what simply must be the ultimate fly fishing accessory: the Bentayga Fly Fishing by Mulliner. Bentley says the latest Bentayga is an “exquisite installation which houses all the equipment required for a successful day on the river.” Of course it does.
Here’s what you get: Four fly rods stored in Saddle leather-trimmed aluminum tubes — with linen cross-stitching, no less — located below the rear parcel shelf, along with two landing nets in matching leather bags stored in a bespoke carpet-trimmed pocket built into the side of the rear cargo hold. There’s also a tackle station, refreshment case and waterproof wader-stowage trunk, all trimmed in Saddle leather, naturally. The drinks case and tackle station sit on a sliding tray for easier access; the latter has a Burr Walnut veneered drawer for the fly-tying vice and tools and a variety of cotton, hooks and feathers. Oh, and the refreshment case’s interior is linen-trimmed and has three metal flasks and Mulliner fine-china tableware, as well as a separate food-storage compartment.
The tackle station, refreshment case and wader trunk can be removed for when you need maximum luggage space.
Meanwhile, your soaking-wet waders and boots are stashed in a hand-built, Saddle leather-wrapped wood trunk, lined with neoprene to keep it all waterproof. The rear cargo hold has a waterproof floor, and if that’s not enough, there’s a dehumidifier back there to keep it all fresh and dry — wouldn’t want to mess up your $200K-plus SUV.
The rest is standard Bentayga: 608 hp 12 cylinder, 187 mph top speed and a 4.0-second 0 to 60 time.
