The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) and Rain Bird have announced the exclusive sponsorship of the CGSA/Rain Bird Environmental Achievement Award. As a Silver sponsor, Rain Bird will also be a sponsor of The Canadian Golf Course Management Conference (CGCMC).
“With Rain Bird’s sponsorship of this prestigious award for the first time, CGSA can continue its mission to recognise member achievements who contribute to promoting environmentally sustainable practises,” said Jim Flett, AGS, CGSA President. “The added CGCMC sponsorship will contribute to the conference delegate experience.”
The CGSA/Rain Bird Environmental Achievement Award recognises the achievements of golf course superintendents and their staff in promoting and preserving the special relationship between golf course properties and environmentally sustainable business practices. It helps to promote the stewardship role that superintendents play with respect to the environment and it highlights the projects, management practices and innovations that golf course managers are implementing on an ongoing basis.
Award winner will receive an All-Access registration to The Canadian 2018 Golf Course Management Conference; 4 nights’ accommodation at the conference hotel; transportation costs to the conference location and a plaque that will be presented during the awards ceremony.
